About WFA

WFA is the only global network for senior client-side marketers. Since 1953, it has championed more effective, efficient and sustainable marketing communications, representing over 150 of the world's biggest brands and more than 60 national advertiser associations across five continents. Its voluntary, peer-to-peer network brings together more than 12,000 marketers and policy professionals across 16 industry sectors, operating under strict compliance with competition rules.

On responsible marketing, WFA runs dedicated policy forums covering issues such as advertising and children, alcohol marketing and food marketing, working with members to agree shared standards and positive marketing behaviours. It supports self-regulatory systems globally, works closely with bodies such as the ICC and EASA, and coordinates member commitments including the Responsible Marketing Pact. Discussions are held under Chatham House Rule to allow candid exchange of practice across the network
